Eternal Sonata (Reprise)
Eternal Sonata: Reprise
RequiresEternal Sonata (PS3 or Xbox 360) disc image, any region, .iso
PlatformsWindowsLinuxmacOSAndroid
A native recompilation of Eternal Sonata, built with the ReXGlue SDK from the Xbox 360 code. It plays either the Xbox 360 release or the PS3 release, from your own disc.
- Dumps: Eternal Sonata disc image. Both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 releases are accepted, in any region (PAL, USA, Japan).
- Upstream: Public repository, host code under the MIT license, version 1.3.4.
- Builds: Windows, Linux (x86_64 and arm64), macOS (Intel and Apple silicon), Android.
- Status: Version 1.3.4. Building the executable from source needs the Xbox 360 PAL disc; playing a released build does not.
🥇 Gold. A 1.3.4 release that installs from your own disc in one step, runs natively on Vulkan, and ships a settings overlay, an input overlay, an FPS counter, a shader debugger and a mod loader. Builds exist for every major platform, and the PS3 release adds content the Xbox 360 version never had. Provisional.
- The installer converts the disc image once, and the converted data is what the game starts afterwards. That data is what to keep with the port.
- The PS3 release is the one to play if the extras matter: it carries the additional costumes, maps, piano pieces and the Scrapbook. The Xbox 360 release does not.
- Keys:
Ins opens the overlay menu, F1 the mod manager, F3 the FPS overlay, F4 the settings overlay, F5 the input overlay, Shift fast-forwards.
- Saves and settings stay beside the port, so one library keeps one profile.
